Adult Adoption form
Bringing an adult dog home is a little bit different from bringing a puppy. Puppies love everyone and more easily adjust to a new home than an adult Shih Tzu, which will have a more established personality and may be both confused and sad when they first go their new home. Most adults will have need more of an adjustment initially and you should expect there to be about 2-3 weeks or so transition period. During this time period there may be accidents and you will likely need to do some additional socialization/training to help them adapt. We say this not to scare you but to tell you that though there is most likely a transition period you will be getting an amazing young quality Shih Tzu who will really bond to you! Seriously though we place very few adults, alot of our Christmas cards are from happy new owners who realize what a loving, young and trainable dog they got!
